The UNI-T UT673A Car Battery Tester is a compact battery and alternator tester that uses conductance testing to check a 12V starting battery, then tests the cranking and charging system of 12V and 24V vehicles. It reports battery health (SOH), charge level (SOC), voltage, internal resistance and cold cranking amps (CCA). Weighing 264 g, the UT673A has a 128 × 64 display with LED colour indication, English and Chinese menus, and clips with protection against over-voltage and reverse connection. It needs no internal batteries because it is powered by the battery under test through its clips. It tests 12V batteries (7~16V) and does not test 6V, lithium or other non-lead-acid batteries. 24V coverage applies to cranking and charging system tests, and the tester does not charge batteries.
